| Description:
The
Becker RP Series (Rotary Piston Spring Return) Actuator utilizes
pressurized natural gas and a heavy-duty spring to motivate quarter turn
control valves. The RPSR Series actuators provide guaranteed failure mode
of the control valve in the event of loss of power gas. The RPSR utilizes
a high pressure pneumatic piston and crank-arm design specifically suited
for control valve modulation. The high pressure piston strokes the actuator
in one direction while a heavy duty spring provides opposing force for
reverse travel. The RPDA is capable of throttling ball type control
valves up to 16� bore (600 ANSI). The RPSR Series actuator may be
utilized for on-off actuation or for precise regulation of natural gas
pipelines. The Becker RPSR Series actuators may be supplied as
a complete control valve package or for retrofit to customers� existing
quarter-turn valves.
